There are exceptions, and special cases, where the differences really matter. I've written a C program that included the same file a dozen times. However, they very frequently take the same place in the formalities for using library software, the same place in the life of a programmer. Each of them is the answer to "What do you usually add near the start of a compilation unit when using external software?" for its language. Patricia
