As someone that has had a great deal of involvement with both applets, and particularly applets made to support Java 1.1* (read 'the MSVM'), I can assure you that very few users are still using it, and if they are, they are doing so unwittingly, and /should be warned of the ever present danger it represents, and advised to visit Sun immediately!/. 'No Java' is better than the MSVM. * These applets amount to 'support applets' to either redirect a page on insufficient Java, or load another applet (the 'real' applet) when Java (Plug-In of required minimum version) is OK.
