The Garching accelerator (with 120 nodes and also some sort of data base in 
the control system, a database for the capabilities of the nodes and the 
source code you need to enable these capabilitis) runs since 1986, and as it 
is very problematic to shut down a particle accelerator, it's running all 
the time.
