I bought an entirely fan-less card a bit more than a week ago.  It's not the 
ultimate GPU, but it is called Radeon HD 7750 *ultimate*.  512 CGM shaders 
at 800MHz (still 819 GFLOPs peak, single precision; this model isn't 
optimized for double precision, 1/16 of single precision, which still is 
~50GFLOPs, but a new Core i7 beats that by a factor 2).  If you get the top 
model from AMD (HD 7970), you get 2048 shaders at 925MHz, two 10cm fans to 
blow away 250W, and double precision is 1/4s of the single precision flops - 
which then is at around 900 GFLOPs DP and blows away any Core i7.
