I looked at the problem, and have written enough code now to
satisfy myself that I know how to solve it. Not ready to
post yet; among other things there are some other clc
posts I've been meaning to respond to, and I really should
try to do those first. I plan on not looking at anyone else's
code before I have something ready to say myself.
