All those emails | go into app-data. So users never think to back up that folder. (Oh | yeah, last time I looked the subfolder created was a GUID. Yeah, real | obvious MS. NOT) | Even worse, if people have to re-install they get a new GUID, so that only the most knowledgable people can ever retrieve their email and settings in that scenario. (One has to change the GUID in the Registry.) ...Which makes the argument for asking people where to put things, so that people who want to back up don't have to have intimate knowledge of Microsoft's "best practices". I've never even used My Documents. I'd consider any software that saves to there without asking to be faulty software. (Word, I'm talking to you! :)
