The film stars Ryan Gosling as an unnamed Hollywoo= d stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver. He quickly grows fond of= his neighbor, Irene (Carey Mulligan), and her young son, Benicio. When her= debt-ridden husband, Standard (Oscar Isaac), is released from prison, the = two men take part in what turns out to be a botched million-dollar heist th= at endangers the lives of everyone involved. The film co-stars Bryan Cranst= on, Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman, and Albert Brooks. drive 2 Download File https://t.co/vWIVxzdo9v=20 A man (billed as "The Driver"), works as a mechanic, a stunt double, a stun= t driver, and a criminal-for-hire getaway driver in Los Angeles, California= . His jobs are all managed by auto shop owner Shannon, who persuades Jewish= -American mobster Bernie Rose and his half-Italian partner Nino "Izzy" Paol= ozzi to purchase a car for the Driver to race. The Driver meets his new nei= ghbor, Irene, and grows close to her and her young son, Benicio. Their rela= tionship is interrupted when Irene's husband, Standard Gabriel, arrives aft= er his release from prison. Standard owes protection money from his time in= prison and is assaulted by Albanian gangster Chris Cook, who demands that = Standard rob a pawn shop for $40,000 to pay off the debt, threatening that = otherwise he will hurt Benicio and Irene. Learning this, the Driver offers = to act as the getaway driver for the pawn shop robbery. Enraged and agonized at finding Shannon's corpse at the auto shop, the Driv= er disguises himself with a rubber stuntman's mask, follows Nino from the p= izzeria to the Pacific Coast Highway and rams his car onto a beach. The Dri= ver chases Nino towards the ocean and drowns him. He calls Irene and tells = her that he will not return, also letting her know that she and Benicio wer= e the best part of his life. The Driver meets Bernie, who promises that Ire= ne will be safe in exchange for the money. Upon receiving the money, Bernie= stabs him in the stomach before the Driver pulls out his own knife and sta= bs Bernie to death. The Driver manages to escape, while Bernie's corpse lie= s in the parking lot next to the cash. Irene knocks on the Driver's apartme= nt door and walks away when no one answers. Although severely wounded, the = Driver drives into the night. I was very taken with this little crime story that James Sallis wrote. I fe= lt that the way the world was presented in the book demanded that its true = grit be retained in the script. The grit comes from seeing the world from t= he point of view of the driver in the car. It's those elements that I felt = were critical to retain to make this film a very unique cinematic experienc= e. When Refn read the first screenplay for Drive, he was more intrigued by the= concept of a man having a split personality, being a stuntman by day and a= getaway driver at night, than the plot of the story.[14] Believing that th= e director might be intimidated by the script, as it was unlike anything he= had done before, Gosling had concerns about whether Refn wanted to partici= pate. Refn took on the project without hesitation.[14] The film was made on a production budget of about $15 million and shot in v= arious parts of Los Angeles, beginning on September 25, 2010.[8][23] Locati= ons were picked by Refn while Gosling drove him around the city at night. A= t the director's request, Los Angeles was picked as the shooting location d= ue to budget constraints.[24] Refn moved into a plush Los Angeles home and = insisted that the cast members and screenwriter Amini move in with him. The= y would work on the script and film all day, then watch films, edit, or dri= ve at night.[25] Refn asked that the editing suite be placed in his home as= well.[8] With a shooting script of 81 pages, Refn and Gosling continued to= trim down dialogue during filming.[15] Car scenes were filmed with a "biscuit rig," a camera car rig developed for= the film Seabiscuit (2003). It allowed stunt driver Robert Nagle to steer = the car, freeing Gosling to concentrate on acting.[35] Consistent with Refn= 's usual visual style, wide-angle lenses were used extensively by cinematog= rapher Sigel, who avoided hand-held camera work.[34] Preferring to keep the= film more "grounded" and authentic, he also avoided the use of computer-ge= nerated imagery (CGI). Budget restrictions were also a factor in this decis= ion.[36] Although many stunt drivers are credited, Gosling did some stunts himself,[= 37] after completing a stunt driving car crash course.[38] During the produ= ction, Gosling re-built the 1973 Chevrolet Malibu used in the film, taking = it apart and putting it back together.[39] Filming concluded on November 12= , 2010.[23][40] The Driver has been compared to the Man With No Name, a character portrayed= by Clint Eastwood in Sergio Leone's Dollars Trilogy, because he almost nev= er speaks, communicating mostly non-verbally.[44] The Driver's meager dialo= gue is not designed to present him as tough, but to soften him. Refn chose = to give The Driver very little dialogue and have him drive around listening= to synth-pop music, taking control when it counts.[47] Peter Debruge of Va= riety opined that what The Driver lacks in psychology, he makes up through = action and stylish costuming.[37] The Driver's wardrobe, in particular the = satin jacket with the logo of a golden scorpion on the back, was inspired b= y the band KISS, and Kenneth Anger's 1964 experimental film Scorpio Rising.= [39] Refn sees the former as the character's armor, and the logo as a sign = of protection.[49] According to reviewer Peter Canavese, the jacket is a re= ference to the fable of The Scorpion and the Frog, mentioned in the film, w= hich evokes its use in the Orson Welles film Mr. Arkadin.[50] Enjoy the beauty, variety and geology of southeast Wisconsin by driving the= Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive. The 115-mile drive traverses six Wisconsin co= unties. The northern end begins near Elkhart Lake in northern Sheboygan Cou= nty and the southern end begins at Whitewater Lake in southeastern Walworth= County. There are numerous places to picnic, hike, camp, bike, swim, fish,= visit historical sites, shop and find lodging along the way. A handout with driving directions for the scenic drive is available at all = Kettle Moraine State Forest offices. The handout provides road names and di= stances between major crossroads, communities, developed recreational areas= and historical landmarks on or near the scenic drive. In the early 1940s the Kettle Moraine Committee of the Milwaukee Chapter of= the Izaack Walton League championed the development of the Kettle Moraine = State Forest under the leadership of the late Attorney Raymond T. Zillmer. = It is believed that the first discussions about the possibility of a scenic= drive through the length of the Kettle Moraine area were in this committee= . Some of the other interested people who urged the development of the driv= e included J. Walter Strong, Ralph Brown and Charles Broughton. The objective of a drive of this kind was to provide the most effective and= scenic highway route that people could use to spend a day or possibly two,= seeing the best in the way of natural features in the Kettle Moraine regio= n. Furthermore, it was to be easily accessible from as many large cities as= possible and lead past or near as many developed state parks and forests a= s possible. It was not until 1946 that an actual study and survey of possible routes wa= s started. At the direction of C. L. Harrington, Lowell G. Hansen and Clyde= T. Smith began a careful examination of the entire district. In an effort = to find the route with the most scenic beauty, every north, south, east and= west road in the entire Kettle Moraine area was driven. Aerial photographs= were also used. After approval of the proposed route by the Conservation Commission in late= 1946, the whole proposal was submitted for approval to the Wisconsin Highw= ay Commission. In 1948, the Wisconsin Highway Commission approved the idea = and route in principle. The Highway Commission joined with the Conservation= Commission in designing the green acorn sign to be used to mark the drive,= but the actual erection and maintaining of the signs fell to the Conservat= ion Department (now the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources). The fir= st paving project was completed in 1950. Dunes Drive is an eight-mile (13 km) scenic drive that leads from the visit= or center into the heart of the gypsum dunefield.
