If you want to do 1 stack, that would work (just keep in mind that you have to switch the mode of each ports from ethernet to stacking mode + a reboot to switch the port mode active. However it depends ... personally if that is your only stack, I'd perhaps separate into at least 2 stacks. The issue is that if you do updates - while you can do staged updates - if anything goes wrong you have to reboot the complete stack. If there is a bug in your stack, all stack members could be affected at once. I wouldn't do it to be honest. While the M4300 have been solid, bugs occur and having all in just 1 big stack, within 1 single logical unit and fault domain, not what I'd want to work with. While there is a standby stack master elected in a stack, crashes can occur. It looks like the half-width 10G switch could be your core switch? If you added a second half-width switch besides it and make a stack there, then form a stack with the 2 larger ones and just use port-channel pairs between the stacks? It might depend on your actual need of SFP+ ports, however I tend to use cheaper short (usually red just for marking the importance/difference in role) Cat 6 cables as stack ports so the M4300-12X12F in my case and likely in other situations even smaller 8X8F would sufficient?</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Why do people stack?</div><div></div><div>Our recently published study, Household perspectives on cooksstove and fuel stacking: A qualitative study in urban and rural Kenya, delivers new insight on the topic. The study finds that while newly adopted cookstoves displace some of the functions performed by traditional stoves, those traditional stoves are rarely abandoned, primarily because they provide extra burners and allow for simultaneous cooking. I have a need to create a label that stacks after the word "to". But the stacking separator only allows one character. If I use the "o" character it splits it everywhere I have an "o" (naturally) and this is not desirable. Details tomorrow I hope.</div><div></div><div></div><div>In the diagram shown from the stacking presentation LD of the top device is connected to the part's VSS (or cell 16), so the load detect will not work on the top device, it will always be loaded and recovery would need to be from some other mechanism. PACK of the bottom device is connected to the same cell 16 point, here that is about the supply voltage potential for the IC. Load detect for the bottom part is provided by the transistor which senses the PACK- voltage. For the top device any fault recovery should not depend on load detect. Since the part does not sense current that is likely a low risk. For the bottom part it does sense current and could protect from OCD or SCD. The designer may not want to recover into a SCD condition, so load removal could be selected for a recovery condition.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I have trouble stictching my individually stacked photos in Lightroom and other panorama software. At least I could create a panorama using photoshop but I cannot really fix the distortion and as a result of that I end up losing a lot of my pano that is not desired. Lighroom will not even stitch them! Has anyone else had the problem?
