This driver package supports the operating system/boot device to function in RAID mode in any one of the above listed RAID levels and standalone NVMe boot device with a separate SATA RAID storage array.




 randomically, sometimes at pc startup and sometimes when I finish playing, the cpu temperature enter in a sort of infinite loop in which the cpu temperature starts from a value (eg. 45C) and decrease in a few seconds to another value (eg. 35C), and this continue indefinitely, starting from 45 and going down to 35. Consequently the cpu fan increase and decrease following the cpu temp. I attached a small video that shows the problem

 

 The loop stops immediately if I switch to the silent profile performance and then switching again to the balanced profile (through the MSI dragon center software). If I do this the cpu temperature stops immediately to a fixed value. 

 All drivers are updated with the latest driver uploaded in the support page of the motherboard, and also the bios is updated.

 

 Could you please help to find out if it's a software or hardware problem?

Now given that the vrm on the Tomahawk is actually using the same exact mosfets in the same configuration as the Msi X570 gaming edge wifi.

But the actual Msi x570 Gaming edge board has twice as much phases for vcore.

So i can already tell you that the tomahawk will definitelly not handle the 3900X very well.

Even if the Tomahawk has better heatsinks.


MSI's Live Update 6 software can be quite useful for updating motherboard drivers and software to the latest versions. Users can download with the intention to install manually or use the total installer button which downloads the software and installs it automatically saving time. There are options to scan for software automatically or manually if there's a certain app or utility that's required, although a full list of supported utilities can be installed directly from the installation CD, or via the product page from the MSI website.


Once everything is connected, you can use a small screwdriver to briefly bridge the two small front panel power connectors on the motherboard. If you have done everything correctly the system should start, and then go through the POST sequence.


The VRM is in a 4+2 phase configuration, and while that might seem low, in this case the number of MOSFETs has been doubled per phase to decrease overall temperatures when the VRM is under high load. We find a Richtek 4+2 phase PWM designed for new AMD CPUs, and it has three integrated drivers for the VCore output (4 phases). The SoC phases and one VCore phase use Richtek RT9624F drivers (labeled 4P=). The MOSFETs are the ON Semiconductor NTMFS4C024N and NTMFS4C029, with two of each per phase.


Here a Texas Instruments GD75232 multiple drivers and receivers chip is used to provide COM port functionality. ASMedia ASM1480 quick switches are used to switch around bandwidth between two SATA ports and the M.2 slot and between the x4 PCI-E 2.0 slot and two x1 slots.
