When I am doing a contour plot using "splot ... linetype palette z", I
am getting nice clabels showing the value corresponding to each
contour.

...but if I by other reason (like overlaying data scatter) have to
store the contour output in a table (with the set table command) and
then plot it with "plot ... linetype palette z", I do not get any
clabels.

Is there a way to get contour labels also when plotting contour table
file with the "plot" command?
