interesting idea. I would give it for sure a try. Sometimes you are
fixed in the idea how to solve a problem.

Working with this large diagrams you only have less as .1 %?  of the
diagram on your monitor. You can't really see what you are doing.
How would you print a picture with this dimensions? The details are
lost if you compress everything to A3 or even to A0 format I think.
