I not done this with Universe, but have done this with d3 systems. So, any odbc client (including some of the sql server tools) can thus view and consume those MV tables as standard sql tables. In the case of d3, you have to execute a series of sql-mapping commands, and once done, then the list of tables will show up as valid tables to the standard ODBC connection. I do not know how/if/what features Universe has, but the above is quite much how this works for d3 systems, and I suspect this one time mapping is the same requirement for most MV systems. -- Albert D.
