I take that back. When I open the file with a program to read line by
line, I see 6 lines. When I open it in vim, there are nearly 17000
lines.

I do see the first few characters are "JBC___HS3". Would that mean
the file was created as a file type 3? If so, and I create a file
type 3 in UniVerse and replace it with this, would that help? If not,
it looks like I'll have to install the trial version of jBASE.

Will there be an issue with opening a file in jBASE version 4 or 5 if
it was created with version 3?
