Fileservers were kept deliberately simple and lightweight software wise - because I want them to server files efficiently, not have non deterministic response times due to some random person doing some DB stuff. I'm doing enough battle with a SAN right now that's I've inherited to find out which of 60 odd VMWare hosts are causing it to overload. This is a different scenario and job to the one where I had a room full of physical mchines BTW. There are times that physical seggregation is a good thing... :) -- Tim Watts
