Skipping Rosetta code was somehow ok for my still current FMP11 - although something should have been done at that time to repair .xls export. So I do not really expect the old FMP11 to run on a new MacOS (one of the reasons why I still do stick to MacOS 10.10). However, building a new FMP which does not run on old MacOS, that's more annoying. I don't know the reasons. It will absolutely prevent me from buying a new FMP version at that stage, when it is obvious that Apple will jump to a perfectly new chipset in the future. Maybe a cloud service will permit to use FMP both on old and new Apple hardware, even better than the current setup. Maybe a monthly fee will prove cheaper than a one-time purchase, which will be useless with the next computer. But currently FMP will have to prove this guess - and from the former experience I do not feel that they do mind very much about customers' satisfaction or well known problems or expectations.
