Job Title:         Peoplesoft Testing Specialist
Location:         Washington DC.
Duration:         12 Months

Relevant Experience (Yrs) 	:	3+  years
Technical/Functional Skills 	:	•	Minimum of 2 years of PeopleSoft
experience and Minimum of 3 months of experience as a Testing
Specialist –OR—Minimum of 3 years of testing experience
•	Minimum of 6 months of experience with PeopleSoft Human Resources,
Benefits Administration and/or Payroll processes, preferably in a v9.1
environment
•	Knowledge of core Human Resources processes
•	Experience in preparation and execution of manual system testing
•	Familiarity with automated testing tools, PeopleSoft Test Framework
is preferred
•	Familiarity with test defect tracking tools, Rational product suite
is preferred
•	Ability to plan (test data, security, process steps), develop
(record scripts), and execute testing based on test scenarios
•	Ability to apply experience from previous customers and projects to
the unique circumstances of the World Bank Group
•	Ability to quickly understand customer-specific policies and
procedures, drawing from various sources (SMEs, Manuals, Staff Rules)
and incorporate into project deliverables
•	Ability to work independently and manage assigned work scope
•	Ability to resolve issues, working across teams and escalating as
necessary, to meet schedule
•	Excellent verbal and written communications skills, specifically the
ability to clearly document test instructions and steps to replicate
defects
•	Possesses an attention for detail and a reputation for delivering
high-quality work

Roles & Responsibilities	:	Project Background
	Introduction
	World Bank Group is in the process of re-implementing Oracle’s
PeopleSoft HCM v9.1 solution with a proposed go-live date in either Q3
of FY13 or Q1 of FY14, based on a heavily customized PeopleSoft 8.0
system. In this program, the Bank Group aims to fully leverage
functionality and features in Core PeopleSoft 9.1 and PeopleTools 8.52
keeping the new system as vanilla as possible.
	Objective
The objective of this request is to secure the services of a
PeopleSoft HCM v9.1 Testing Specialist to work with our team of
qualified, diverse individuals.  The qualified consultant will become
part of the World Bank's HR System Renewal Project to re-implement
PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 along with Global Payroll (specifically, testing of
configured PeopleSoft functionality and project-developed RICEW
components to meet World Bank Group requirements).   This position
requires flexibility, creativity and initiative.  Candidates should be
self-starters who enjoy working with an international team of people
in a highly collaborative environment. Successful candidates must be
able to multi-task their workload assignments, be fluent in spoken and
written English, and have strong written and communication skill.
	Scope
	The Test Specialist will support the following Testing activities:
•	Functional Test Script Development
Based on assigned functional test scenarios, the Test Specialist will
plan the tests, stage data (e.g., employee records) to meet test
preconditions, identify required test user profiles, and record
scripts in the PeopleSoft Test Framework toolset.  Modify scripts
based on reviews to ensure that the tests are realistic and fully test
the business requirements.
•	Test Execution
Support the business users performing the tests to correct issues with
the scripts and to perform a root cause analysis of any software
issues identified.  Log test results.  Work with the development team
to resolve defects and to retest and regression test fixes prior to
final verification by the business users.

	The Testers will support the following test events:
	System Test (also known as module or string testing)
	Integration Test (also known as end-to-end testing)
	User Acceptance Test

	Additionally, test specialists assigned to the Pension Administration
and the Global Payroll functions may be engaged to support a Parallel
Testing effort where pay results in the new system will be reconciled
against the results in the current production system.  The test
specialists will perform a root cause analysis for discrepancies
requiring investigation.

	Responsibilities
•	Understand the objectives of the re-implementation project to
include policy and process changes to be implemented in order to
streamline operations and/or take advantage of functionality available
in the new product
•	Understand the requirements associated with their work area and
clearly communicate these needs to the project staff
•	Generate comprehensive test scripts to include test data, user
profiles, and execution steps
•	Support test execution, recording results and documenting issues and
defects with enough detail to allow for the replication of the error
•	Support the project change management and training teams as needed

Education 	:	Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
