What pissed-on-by-the-rats, stupid, retarded idiot decided to use a
ribbon-like interface in ProE ?
Just because a User interface allegedly works in something mind-
numbingly simple as a word processor, doesn't mean one can simply
translate it to a complicated piece of software like CAD.

I had the misfortune of working with ProE2000i2 for almost 10 yeas
prior to this. It was a dream to work with and to explore all
possibilities and enjoy the quality and well-thought concept of UI and
such.
2000i2 was a slick, intelligent, easy to use, wonderful gem.
I say misfortune because now I have this Wildfire-crap to 'work' with.
Wildfire. Shitfire is more like it.

Old-style rolling menus weren't good enough anymore. Instead I'm now
forced on a regular basis to click 3 corners of my new, bigger
monitor. And PTC retards actually want to make me believe I can work
more efficient with less mouse-meters and less clicks.
SolidWorks rip-off. Stupid shitty SolidWorks rip-off.
What a piece of junk, and what a joke.

Got a fairly new computer now (with Win7-64, that slow shitty unstable
memory hogging fisher-price crap compared to e.g. SGI-IRIX 64 bit like
10 years ago) with which PTC manages to let ProE (or Creepo or
whatever) run as slow as frozen shit through a funnel, midwinter.

And of course they had to go and change the way one handles the 3D-
model with the mouse.

And of course all menu items got another location. Again.

And a lot, lot more.

In my mind the rich PTC bobo's mourned the horrendous profits they
made several years ago and of which they lost so much to mid-range
competitors.
So they came up with a brilliant plan. Let's hire some young go-getter
programmers with no experience whatsoever and let them decide what a
good interface should look like, as long as it looks like a
Frankensteinish mix of Solid Works with MS-Word.
That will win new customers.
It might have.
I'm not a fan anymore, though. Not that I think that anyone at PTC
would care the slightest about that. In fact, I think I could go on
ranting endlessly about Pro/Sleepo, for 2 reasons.
1. PTC doesn't really care about paying customers, they're already
paying, right ?
2. there's a vast and endless supply of minor and major irritations,
annoyances, stupidities

Currently I can only see two positive aspects to WF5: WF4 was real
shitty crap. So this is improvement.
Secondly, I get to read the online newspapers almost all day long,
every day. 15 years ago I was always waiting for the computer. I'm
still waiting. I'm still waiting, lalala. Isn't there a song.
That's progress for me. Wow.

This piece of shit software is such a big piece of crap; a couple days
ago I decided to check the references for one part.
After clicking the part and the command I had to wait for like 7 or 8
minutes (2 pages in the morning paper), then that piece of junk, shit
crap stupid ass retarded waste-product came back with the message that
I dindn't seem to have to the necessary license.
Maybe you professors in the Don't-know-don't-care science can make
software that lets me know that at the beginning of the waiting
period. You know, so I don't have to wait ?!? Do you people get the
concept of waiting ? It's that time you can't be productive, but your
boss has to pay you ?
And yes, I'm typing this during working hours, but as you can imagine,
I have time enough to spare. Thanks to your stupid retarded brain
farts.

Stupid cracker-ass piece of junk.

My colleague just 10 minutes ago wondered if I had a solution to his
problem with WF5. Flexible part's dimensions got mysteriously locked
again and again. Trying to modify the dimension so as to get a clue
about the reason didn't work, it just tells me: no appropriate
license. Solution: delete part and place again.
What a shitty software.

I've been working with WF5 for 3 months now. So far I'm only impressed
by the depths of the stupidity of the responsible 'creative' brains.
I need this CAD-software for my work, but it's impossible to work with
in an intelligent and efficient manner.

Piece of crap.

With old-style Pro/E you had the possibility, given enough time and
energy, to make the UI look like what you wanted, even a ribbon-style
interface would have been possible. And then, after seeing the error
in your ways, you could dry your tears of shame and go back.
Now, no more freedom like that. Learn to live with WF5. Learn to live
with shit. Learn to live with crap. That's not easy. Because, you
know, it stinks.

Stupid ass Win7 just informs me it wants to delete all my work because
of some stupid update it needs to restart the computer for. That's the
level of shit you get these days.

In the olden days one could mindlessly click to select multiple
objects and combine it easily with 'query select'. Now you have to be
a brain surgeon with just as dexterous limbs.
Almost through selecting a complex mix of parts and assies, mixing
query select and CTRL-button but forget to press CTRL again at the
very end ? Tough cookies. Start again. Haha, who's the idiot now ?
I'll bet they're laughing their asses off at PTC. All the way to the
bank.

STUPID, idiotic piece of crap.

Try 'region selection' when you want to 'Clean Dimensions'. Doesn't
work. Piece of shit.

You used to be able in a drawing to drag a dimension by the witness
line and the dimension itself would stay centered. Not now. The stupid
text always snaps to the mouse-cursor. Good luck cleaning that shit up
without a properly working 'Clean Dimensions'.

Clicking somewhere in the window (not on the model) would deselect all
and repaint. Not now. You gotta repaint the mofo yourself.
Otherwise the last model stays selected, 'cause, you know, PTC knows
whats best for you, and appearantly you want that part selected until
the middel of next week.

That's it, ProE won't accept any mapkey anymore. I guess it's
restarting time. You americans love second chances. How about the
sixth chance. In one day ?
Piece of shit.

Stupid retarded drawing mode. Already restarted ProE 3 time today.
Drawing wouldn't respond anymore. Buggy un-ready heap of shit.
Old and nice ProE used to let me enter a mapkey, select all objects
(without that shit-stupid ctrl-button, what idiot thought of that),
and confirm with MMB. Wonderful, easy-peasy, and very, very quick.
Now the retards came up with this: I first have to select (with that f-
ing CTRL-key) all objects,  then (almost always) switch to another
tab, look for the right command, click it, sometimes click somewhere
in the screen, confirm with MMB or enter.
But still the piece of crap remembers my last command. When I want to
pan the screen using MMB it sometimes deletes a view or some
dimensions because the piece of shit misreads my intentions.
What complete and utter brainless moron invented software that
pretends it can think for me ?! IT CAN'T !
In about 30% of the cases it just won't respond to a mapkey that in
other instances will work fine, not fast, or quick or anything, it
just does as expected.

All the speed that I was able to reach using old ProE is gone. Instead
of mindlessly pointing and clicking and being able to concentrate on
my product I now constantly are interrupted in my thought train,
because I have to correct the utter piece of crap.

What a great dissapointment and major source of frustration.
They shouldn't call it CAD anymore. Call it what it is. 3D-Office for
Windows. It's actually worse than its 2D counterpart. Word is much
cheaper and not as pretentious by a long shot.

And what's with this crap : modifying a subassembly and switching the
screen to a higher assembly it shows me the aforementioned subassembly
unmodified. I first have to regenerate the higher assembly before it
reflects the change.
Huh ?! When did this get changed ? AND WHY ? What utter horse-shit it
has become.

I just hate that new no-good stupid 'stickiness' of ProE commands.
That just sucks ass. When I'm done, I'm done. Don't make me hit half
of the keys on my poor keyboard. Quit already !

Utter piece of crap. God-damn-sunovabitch. I hate this new version of
ProE.
