Nominated dissertation= s will be evaluated in terms of scientific originality, scientific signific= ance, practical relevance, impact, and quality of the presentation.=20 The winner will receive $1000, which will be awarded at the ICPE 2016 Inte= rnational Conference on Performance Engineering. Contributions of interest span the desig= n of metrics for system evaluation as well as the development of methodolog= ies, techniques and tools for measurement, load testing, profiling, workloa= d characterization, dependability and efficiency evaluation of computing sy= stems. If the dissertation is written in language other than English, = it may be accompanied by publications, in English, describing the same rese= arch as the dissertation. SPEC Distinguished Dissertation Award is open to dissertations that have be= en defended between October 1, 2014, and September 30, 2015. If there are s= everal outstanding submissions, the committee may split the award between t= hem.=20 The submission deadline is September 30, 2015. Nominations are welcome at a= ny time before the final submission deadline. Nominations, or questions abo= ut the application process, should be sent by e-mail to nominations at spec= dot org.
