A homicide case that had gone cold for decades has a new development: authorities have identified a woman found dead in Riverside County 46 years ago as a missing person from Alabama. New DNA analysis confirmed that 29-year-old Victoria Jean Hargrove was the woman discovered in a ravine off Highway 74, south of Cahuilla, in February 1980. Hargrove had been reported missing by her family in Opelika, Alabama, less than a month before her body was found. With her identity now confirmed, authorities are asking the public for information that could help explain why she traveled to California and the circumstances surrounding her death. https://abc7.com/post/victoria-jean-hargrove-death-authorities-identify- woman-found-riverside-county-ravine-alabama-resident-missing- time/18844635/
