Submissions presenting original research are solicited in a= ll areas of=20 bioinformatics and computational biology, including the development of ex= perimental or=20 commercial systems. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: Biomarker discovery Biomedical databases and data integration Biomedical text mining and ontologies Biomolecular imaging Comparative genomics Computational genetic epidemiology Computational proteomics Data mining and visualization Gene expression analysis Genome analysis Population genetics=09High-performance bio-computing Metagenomics Molecular evolution Molecular modeling and simulation Next-generation sequencing data analysis Pattern discovery and classification Software tools and applications Structural biology Systems biology AI and machine learning methods in Bioinformatics and Medical Information= Big Data Analytics in Biology and Medicine PAPER SUBMISSION Please submit extended abstracts (up to 12 pages in Springer LNCS format)= via the online=20 submission system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=3Disbra2018). = Submission=20 implies willingness of at least one author to register and present at the= symposium. The=20 authors should choose one of the following tracks: Track 1: Submit up to 12 pages in LNCS format for (i) publication of the = extended abstract=20 in the Springer LNBI proceedings and (ii) invitation to submit a 30-50%-e= xtended version=20 to ISBRA=9218 special issues of IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Bi= ology and=20 Bioinformatics, Journal of Computational Biology, Tsinghua Science and Te= chnology, or=20 International Journal of Bioinformatics Research and Applications. Track 2: Submit up to 12 pages in LNCS format for (i) publication of an a= bridged two-page=20 abstract in the Springer LNBI proceedings and (ii) invitation to submit a= full-length paper to=20 ISBRA=9218 special issues of BMC Bioinformatics or BMC Genomics.
