POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

Total Wine & More is seeking a Business Analyst to join our IT custom retail solutions production support team which is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the performance of our mission-critical custom built applications. The Business Analyst is required to ensure the custom retail solutions production support team can continue to perform at a high level and support current and future needs as Total Wine & More expands. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of various business functions, as well as various IT functions. Interfacing and collaborating cross-functionally with diversified business and technology team members, this individual will provide influence and expertise with incident triage and troubleshooting, system analysis/support, system processes, and team processes that will enable efficiencies within the entire organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•	Diagnose and triage issues to identify and articulate the customer, business impact and priority
•	Troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with business and technical teams to drive issues to resolution while meeting agreed upon SLAs
•	Document incident summaries and provide clear, supporting data and analysis
•	Identify and document SOPs for maintenance tasks
•	Manage incidents throughout software development lifecycle; escalate issues appropriately and act as escalation support
•	On-call rotation support for critical system issues on an as needed basis
•	Develop deep expertise in complex application functionality
•	Understand interdependencies between various custom applications
•	Serve as a go-to application subject matter expert for others’ questions
•	Provide agreed upon service level of production system support
•	Communicate effectively with customers to identify needs
•	See opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen relationships
•	Manage customer expectations effectively

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Experience, Skills and Education:

•	Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in Business, Computer Science, Technology or related field
•	3+ years of business analysis experience with documenting and understanding requirements for software applications
•	Intellectual curiosity and drive to investigate issues and develop deep subject matter expertise
•	Flexible and positive attitude; proven experience partnering with business and technical teams, clearly articulating business priorities and managing through conflict
•	Adept at identifying needed process improvements for key functions
•	Ability to adapt plans and react to change
•	Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
•	Self-managed, highly motivated and have a strong drive for results

Preferred Experience, Skills and Education:

•	Experience with relational databases and SQL; ability to write simple query statements and investigate complex stored procedures
•	Experience with ETLs
•	Experience with the Kanban framework
•	Experience with a retail organization in an IT/Business support role
