I have so much vast accumulated wealth that it will be impossible
to spend it all at the rate that I spend it before I cark it now, so that
is quite academic. I haven't even bothered to apply for a part pension
even tho that would save me quite a bit for that reason.

There are still plenty of very safe jobs still available
if you have enough of a clue to get qualified

While in theory there is a problem with buying a house
I have been watching 3 of my mates who are that age
doing it right now, admittedly in a country town but
still with total house value of $550K, all having a new
house built for them. One does casual work, grape
vine pruning and training, the other one works for
himself as a house painter. Forget what work the
other one's husband does. None of the wives work.

I thought that until I helped them all to do that.
The first one had to work for by far the biggest
chook/turkey/duck operation in the entire
southern hemiphere as a forklift driver to get
the mortgage, but quit as soon as he got the
loan because he hates that work.
