Yesterday, put the kettle on to make coffee, and I noticed that it did not cut off when the water boiled. This morning, I put it on again, and after about 20 seconds, I see orange glow through the transparent level indicator, then smoke started coming out, yikes! I guess the thermostat at the bottom sprung a leak. It was a cheapie from Target or K-mart, 6 years old.
