Instead of, e,g, iwlist wlan0 use iw dev wlan0 scan It should work for all cards that support nl80211, for older ones that don't, you're stuck with iwlist and you may need to rebuild it with this patch: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/cvs/basicnet/wireless_tools.html -- HASM
