The status page at Ubuntu, says that a number of their servers are
re-connected. But secure.ubuntu.com is still a problem, and even if
you use mirrors for the two repository links, it still seems to make
references to secure.ubuntu.com .

I was attempting to do a LM223 install, and I set the mirrors,
the install did finish, but it was quite quite slow in sections.
And the installation did boot, about five minutes ago, so it appears
to be intact.
