I don't think it 'wise' of the Mageia dev/s to make their distro an 
'unfriendly' live boot.

There are a great many people who like to 'sample' distro/s as they are 
released by booting them live.

If Mageia is a difficult odd-ball which doesn't perform conventionally 
under the simple condition of being booted live, and the user has to 
learn some 'crazy' sekrit handshake to be able to install a package in a 
live boot, he isn't going to like it and move on w/o appreciating 
whatever features its current cadre of users like about the distro.
