I do not like to eat very much. But my mother often uses her authority over me to pressure me to eat more food than I want to eat. Said mother thinks that I am skinny and that I am “wasting away”. But I believe that to be mostly untrue. Being that I am a self-sovereign adult, I do not believe that what I choose to eat (or to not eat) should be anyone’s business, including that of my mother. If I had my way, I would only eat one full meal every day, supplemented with snacks as needed. Does that sound unreasonable? I must add that economics plays a part in my decision to want to eat less and, to a lesser degree, so do aesthetics; I do not enjoy having a jelly belly, you see.
