My mother (now passed) began hearing what we called "psychic doorbells" as her relatives of her parents' generation began to grow old and die. The first time it happened, she woke my dad and he went to the door but found no one there. In the morning we got a phone call that a relative had passed. She was awakened by doorbells many times after that and each time we got news of a death in the family the following day. We were a very Catholic family and not disposed to believing in anything supernatural, but what the heck are you supposed to think when this keeps happening to you???
