However if you want microsecond granularity, clean PWM control, robust interrupt handling, and other things that may be important in a microprocessor project, go for C++. The same applies to standard Python and C/C++. Python has seen speed improvements in recent years. I don't know how much 3.13 will add when it hits the streets. I really enjoy Python but I also know its limitations. It's back to having a variety of tools in the toolbox and knowing when to use each one. As far as code completion and so forth I use VS Code with PyLance and IntellicCode https://devblogs.microsoft.com/python/announcing-pylance-fast-feature- rich-language-support-for-python-in-visual-studio-code/ It's another tool.
