BTW, Arctic Silver says you have to let the CPU cool off and then warm
up several or many times again fo it to settle in. Just running it for
200 hours won't do much.

This messes with my plan to just let the pc run to see how long before
it crashes, but otoh, I have plenty of time. It's wavering between 134
adn 141F now, which seems plenty cool enough.

Is this related to unplugging the CPU? I think so. I didn't unlatch
the CPU, only removed the heatsink and its cover. The heatsink has two
wide metal tabs that go into the cover. The black plastic clover hooks
on to a pivot on either side, in the front, and then it rocks back and
tightens with a screw on the remaining 2 corners.

Thanks, and thanks Paul. Still haven't tested the last two sticks.
I'll report back in a few days.
